Full Description
PIP STE02465 complements PIP STS02465 and provides assistance to the engineer in the preparation of contract documents for furnishing and installing ACIP piles.This Practice is modeled on DFI TM-ACIP-1 (Augered Cast-in-Place Piles Manual). For additional information, refer to that manual and also to DFI TM-ACIP-2 (Augered Cast-in-Place Piles Inspector's Guide).
This Practice does not provide guidelines for lateral displacement or drilled displacement piles, also known as augered cast-in-place displacement (ACIP-D) piles. DFI manuals, the Federal Highway Administration documents and a geotechnical engineer with experience designing ACIP-D piles should be consulted for guidance on ACIP-D piles.
